TecnoMETAL 1.0

TecnoMETAL is a BIM-enabled 3D modeling and detailing solution for steel structures, developed by Steel&Graphics. Built for detailers, fabricators, and structural design teams, it streamlines the workflow from concept through fabrication. Running inside AutoCAD or BricsCAD, it provides parametric tools to model frames, secondary members, connections, plates, bolts, and welds. From a single, coordinated model, TecnoMETAL automatically generates shop and erection drawings, part and assembly marks, bills of materials, and machine-ready NC files (such as DSTV and DXF). Libraries of standard joints, customizable macros, and automated numbering reduce manual work and help prevent errors. Model–drawing synchronization, revision tracking, and quality checks support reliable deliverables and traceability. TecnoMETAL also supports common data exchange formats, including IFC, for coordination with BIM and analysis platforms, and offers nesting and material optimization to minimize waste. Flexible units, standards, and output templates let teams tailor results to project and fabrication requirements.
